Angela Podmore was my aunt.

She was born Angela Doherty in Argyle Street, Derry about 1915/16, the daughter of Tom and Mary Anne Doherty. Angela had five sisters, Gwen, Bernadette, Adrienne, Mary Josephine and Gabrielle.

She became a nurse, and worked for most of her life in Preston and Warrington in Lancashire. She married Kim Podmore in Lancashire in the early 1960s, but they had no children.

Angela died in 1979 in Blackburn, Lancashire
