Anne "Doe" Palmer was my aunt. She was born on the 23 June 1905 at 4 Grafton Terrace, Derry.

Doe was the daughter of Benjamin Norman and Josephine Palmer. She had one brother, Benny, and three sisters, Margaret, Olive and Martha.

She was brought up in Derry. Following the death of her father in the Great War, Doe had to leave the convent where she was being educated, and work in the local shirt factory.

She married John O'Donnell (b. Derry 1905 d. London 1959) in Derry, and settled at 40 Avonmore Road London W14 some time before 1936.

John and Doe had five children, two of whom, Anne and a young boy, died very young. The surviving children are Majella (b. 1935) Gerald (b. about 1938) and Christopher (b. about 1941).

Anne died in Hammersmith, London in 1966
