Charles and Bridget Hernan were my great great great grandparents.

Charles was born in 1791 to Robert and an unknown Hernan, probably in Inishowen, Co. Donegal.

He married Bridget McFeely, and they had at least three children, Charles, Denis (my great great grandfather) and James. Charles was a tenant farmer, and rented land jointly with his son Denis on a farm straddling the townlands of Stroove and Carrowtrasna, to the north of Moville.

Charles died in 03 July 1871 and is buried in Ballybrack near Moville.
