Charlie Crumlish was the youngest child of John and Anne Crumlish. He was baptised in Moville, Co. Donegal on 11 March 1894.

He had eight brothers and sisters: Mary Anne (my grandmother), Denis, Margaret, Kathleen, Frances, Theresa, Nora and Evelyn.

He took over the family butcher business run by his father, situated in The Square in Moville.

He married Winnie Lake who came from Larne Co. Antrim. They had five children, John, Freda, Ethna, Kenneth and Theresa.

Charlie died on 25 October 1978, and is buried in St Marys, Ballybrack.
