Mary Anne was my grandfather's sister.

She was the daughter of Thomas and Frances Doherty, who lived at 5 Hawthorn Terrace, Derry.

Mary Anne was born in Donegal about 1872. She was a seamstress, and was living with her parents in the family home in 1911, so she probably did not marry.

She had four known brothers, Thomas, William, John and Michael and two sisters, Ellen and Josephine, together with a further unknown sibling.
