The townlands of Carrowhugh (to the left),
where my mother spent most of her childhood summers. The house where she stayed is above and to the left of the lowest white house in the photo.

And Carrowtrasna (to the right),
where my grandmother worked on her grandfather's farm, from the age of twelve. The farm is high on the hillside, up a winding track (or loanin').
